Pills, Capsules, Caplets or Liquid? Which is Best?
Any medical or nutritional professional can tell you that, when it comes to medications, vitamins or nutritional supplements that are taken orally, the liquid form is always absorbed faster (and becomes "bioavailable" faster) than any pill, capsule, caplet, or other solid form.
Another thing to consider with pills, capsules or caplets is that, because of their compressed nature or because of their coatings or the fillers and binders that enable them to be compressed, they may pass through the system without being absorbed at all. Thus, there is a risk that medication or supplements in these forms will have zero effect not to mention passing through the Liver and Kidneys.
For these reasons, everything we offer is, whenever possible, available as a liquid using human grade elements Made in America. When giving a liquid medication or supplement to an animal, an oral syringe is used to squirt the preparation into the animal's mouth in such a way that it is easily swallowed by injecting the supplement in front of your loved ones jaws.
If the word "syringe" makes you think of a hypodermic needle, don't worry. An oral syringe has a nozzle, not a needle!
For anyone who has had to resort to mixing or hiding pills in an animal's food, or holding the animal's mouth open and trying to force a pill down its throat, the technique of administering a liquid/paste via syringe can actually prove far easier and less stressful for all concerned. And, because liquids are so readily absorbed, it's a far more efficient method as well. The remainder of the liquid products are added directly with the animals feed with the taste they love.
